Samsung Galaxy Note 7 Best Features

Best Feature Of Samsung Galaxy Note 7
Samsung has launched the latest version of its phablet device, the Galaxy Note 7, at an Unpacked 2016 event in New York. The Galaxy Note 7 is one of the most highly anticipated flagships of this year, arriving as the successor to the popular Galaxy Note 5 from last year. The company decided jump a digit, skipping the “Note 6” name, in order to complement its current Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge flagship devices.
Samsung has blended a lot of features of the previous Note iteration with that of S7 Edge to create the Note 7. The Galaxy Note 7 is still at 5.7 inch but it is now comes with water and dust resistance rating of IP68. This means it can be completely immersed in water while remaining functional. The S Pen that comes with the device is now water resistant as well. The tech giant claims that the Galaxy Note 7 is the powerful device that is designed for users who want to get the most from their smartphones, both at work and at leisure, thanks to the large screen and stylus. Here are some best features of the Galaxy Note 7.

1. Refined Design

The new Galaxy Note 7 has a dual-curved screen like the S7 edge. The curved screen not only makes it easy to hold in hand but also makes it hard to resist being attracted to its fabulous beauty. The phablet features a 5.7-inch quad HD display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels (518 pixels per inch). The Note 7 has the same Always-on display technology as the S7 and the S7 edge, which is beneficial when it comes to using the S-Pen without unlocking the device. The Note 7 also sports mobile HDR, which makes it the first smartphone capable of showing mobile HDR content when it becomes available.

2. Improved S-pen

The stylus is not only dust and water resistant with IP68 certification. It also has a finer point with a tip which is just 0.7mm, smaller and more accurate than its predecessor. The pressure sensitivity on S Pen has also been increased to 4,096 levels from 2,048 on previous Note. In terms of software, users can now create and share GIF animation with the help of S Pen. In addition, it includes new Air Command functions like Magnify and Translate, allowing users to zoom in on the screen or convert languages real time.

3. Advanced Camera

The Galaxy Note 7 is equipped with the same camera as the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge, a Dual pixel 12 MP rear camera and a 5 MP front camera. The aperture of both cameras are f/1.7. There is also Auto HDR on both the front and the rear, along with an Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and phase detection auto focus. The dual-pixel sensor technology, wide aperture and fast auto focus, work together to create sharp and beautiful photos even in low-light environments.

4. Corning Gorilla Glass 5

Samsung Galaxy Note 7 became the first smartphone to feature Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection, which is said to be the toughest glass the popular glass-maker has made yet. The company has claimed that the phone protected by Coning Gorilla Glass 5 in its lab tests had an 80 percent chance of emerging unscathed after falling from heights of up to 1.6 meters.

5. Iris Scanner

Another first for Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is the Iris Scanner, which allows users to unlock their smartphone with a quick scan of their eyes. According to the company, it is more secure than a fingerprint scanner (which is also available on the phone).

6. USB Type-C Port

The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 has a Type-C USB charging port, making it the first in the Galaxy series to sport the new USB Type-C port. USB-C cables are known for their faster data transfer rates and battery charging. This mean that the new phablet from Samsung would have some sort of faster charging technology support like Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0.

7. Secure Folder

Secure Folder is a new feature added to the Note 7, which can be accessed only after setting up the Iris scanner. It basically lets users access files in private. One of the best thing of the Secure Folder is that it allows users to run a second instance of an app. This means that a user can use two WhatsApp accounts on a single device with the two running independently of each other, each tied to a different SIM. With the Secure Folder, users will also be able to store photos, memos, and apps privately on the Galaxy Note 7.

8. Better Smart Switch

Samsung has also updated its Smart Switch application for Galaxy Note 7. The Smart Switch feature now supports continuous backup and easy transfer of content, including data, apps, settings and layouts between devices. Galaxy Note 7 users will be able to use up to 15GB of free space to store and restore information on Samsung Cloud.

The Galaxy Note 7 will be available starting on August 19. There is no word on the retail price of the Note 7 right now though, but it will be supported by AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, U.S. Cellular, and Verizon Wireless.
